“During the past 20 years, the large-scale labor migration is observed in the country; moreover, we are not very good at distinguishing labor migration and migration with stationary migration or people left the country for a month-two-three or they stay there for many years and we cannot consider them as permanent residents of Ukraine. The scales of the migration are estimated differently, according to our institute, it is about 3 million people, such numbers cannot be neglected,” the message said.
As we reported, the nationwide population census will be held in 2023 in Ukraine. The explanatory note indicates that the last nationwide population census was carried out in 2001. During this time, significant economic, demographic and migration processes took place in the country, which significantly influenced the quantitative and qualitative composition of the population.
