According to the Institute for Demography and Social Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, about 3 million people left Ukraine during 20 years, as UNN reported citing scientist Ella Libanova.

“During the past 20 years, the large-scale labor migration is observed in the country; moreover, we are not very good at distinguishing labor migration and migration with stationary migration or people left the country for a month-two-three or they stay there for many years and we cannot consider them as permanent residents of Ukraine. The scales of the migration are estimated differently, according to our institute, it is about 3 million people, such numbers cannot be neglected,” the message said.
