In Ukraine, about 90% of health workers have already been vaccinated with one dose. In addition, one vaccine shot was given to more than 85% of teachers. This was announced by Health Minister Viktor Lyashko in an interview with Radio Svoboda.

"About 90% of all medical workers have already received at least one dose of vaccine. Teachers - more than 85%," Viktor Lyashko said.

He also noted that there are cases of fraud - the issuance of fake vaccination certificates among doctors, but they are rare.

"There is fraud. And you need to fight against fraud. I can't say that in our country there are no fraudsters. There are fraudsters and the results of those special operations that the National Police of Ukraine and the SBU are carrying out today. They reveal the facts, both fraudsters who use seals, letterheads of the institution, and issue fake documents, as well as dishonesty among medical workers. And where such facts are recorded, criminal cases start immediately, these doctors are suspended from work. There are already facts of dismissal," the minister said.

Meanwhile, the question of abolishing the mask regime in the country can be raised only after the absolute majority of the population of Ukraine has been vaccinated against coronavirus.

“We have a small enough number of vaccinated citizens for us to neglect the anti-epidemic rules. Therefore, let's catch up with vaccination to 70-80 percent, then we will sit down and together make decisions whether we can already get rid of the masks on our face or not," Lyashko said.
