890 new cases of coronavirus were confirmed in Ukraine during the past 24 hours. Particularly, 81 children and 10 medics got infected as the Health Ministry of Ukraine reported.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, 2,267,219 cases of Covid-19 were registered in Ukraine. 2,197,508 people (+433 in 24 hours) recovered and were discharged; while 53,296 (+27) patients died from the complications caused by the infection.

During the past 24 hours, the majority of the confirmed cases were registered in Kyiv city (127), Odesa (111), Kharkiv (86), Zaporizhia (74) and Luhansk (68) regions.

Earlier, Chief Sanitary Doctor of Ukraine Ihor Kuzin stated that the new outbreak of coronavirus infection is expected in autumn; however, it can take place earlier. Thus, the Chief Sanitary Doctor of Ukraine noted that the immunization should take place quickly to enable the majority of the population to get at least one dose. Besides, Kuzin noted the importance of basic anti-epidemic events – personal hygiene, social distance, and face mask requirement.
