During the last 24 hours, Ukrainian doctors reported 8,641 new cases of infection with coronavirus. Maksym Stepanov, the Healthcare Minister reported that on his Facebook page.

The overall number of patients in this country since the beginning of the pandemic reached 821,947. 423,704 (+5,123 per 24 hours) recovered, and 13,733 (+145 per 24 hours) died.

The largest increase of daily incidence this time was observed in Kyiv (1,526), Dnipropetrovsk region (960), Odesa region (662), Kyiv region (635), and Sumy region (477).

According to Health Minister Maksym Stepanov, the Ministry is at the final stage of negotiations to reach agreements with global vaccine manufacturers, which products have passed the third stage of clinical trials, in particular with Pfizer.

It was noted that in 2021, Ukrainian authorities plan to get some 20.9 million people vaccinated; that's about half of the country's population.
