As of the morning of June 20, the total number of coronavirus infected in Ukraine is 35,825 people. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 994 people have died from Covid-19 (+9 per day), 16,406 patients (+373 per day) have recovered.
On June 19, the second wave of coronavirus infection has been announced in Ukraine.
Two regions of Ukraine reported more than 50% of the occupancy rate in hospitals.
However,chief sanitary doctor of Ukraine Viktor Lyashko stated that, now it’s too early to talk about a return to total hard quarantine throughout Ukraine.
“It’s premature to talk about strict quarantine on the territory of the country now; all the recommendations of the Ministry of Health must be implemented,” Lyashko said.
Also, the head of the World Health Organization (WHO), Tedros Gebreyesus, noted the onset of a new dangerous phase of the coronavirus pandemic in the world.
