As we reported, Ukraine introduced a booster vaccination against Covid-19 for citizens over 18 years of age who have completed a full course of immunization.

The booster dose can be done:

- At age 18+, six months after the date of the second Covid-19 vaccination, optimally between six and nine months.

- Preference will be given to m-RNA vaccines, Moderna or Comirnaty/Pfizer, regardless of which vaccine the person was previously vaccinated with. For example, if the first two vaccinations were given with CoronaVac from Sinovac Biotech, the booster dose is recommended to be given with Comirnaty/Pfizer.

- In the absence of mRNA vaccines, the booster dose can be given with another vaccine, according to approved regimens in Ukraine.
