7,866 new cases of coronavirus were confirmed in Ukraine during the past 24 hours. Particularly, 667 children and 175 medics got infected as the Health Ministry of Ukraine reported.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, 2,370,425 cases of Covid-19 were registered in Ukraine. 2,237,973 (+2,305 in 24 hours) people recovered and were discharged; while 55,284 (+123 in 24 hours) patients died from the complications caused by the infection. Besides, over 2,000 people were hospitalized. 12,593,275 PCR tests were held.

During the past 24 hours, the majority of the confirmed cases were registered in Kyiv city (467), Kharkiv (839), Lviv (685), Donetsk (520) and Dnipropetrovsk (456) regions.

As we reported, the Chernivtsi region (western Ukraine) may end up in the “red” quarantine zone; Zhytomyr, Luhansk, Lviv and Kharkiv regions are already in the risk area.

Besides, an outbreak of coronavirus has already begun in Ukraine. In a week the incidence rates may exceed the European average.
