Over the last 24 hours, 77 new cases of Covid-19 were confirmed in Kyiv. Kyiv mayor Vitaliy Klitschko posted this on his Telegram channel.
Among those who got sick there are 36 women aged from 18 to 82; 38 men aged from 18 to 76, and three girls aged three, seven and twelve.
15 patients were taken to hospitals; the others stay on self-isolation, under supervision of doctors.
Most of the cases were observed in Darnytsia, Desnyansky, Svyatoshynsky and Solomyansky districts.
6,961 cases were confirmed in the city since the epidemic reached Ukraine.
The Ministry of Health expects two new waves of coronavirus in Ukraine in autumn and winter this year. The corresponding statement was made by chief sanitary doctor Viktor Lyashko on Ukraine 24 channel, RBC reported.
"We need to be wary of the beginning of the autumn period when we have a seasonal increase in influenza. This will be November, this is the first wave, February, this is the second wave. Then we can have a big increase," Lyashko said.
He focused on the need for good preparation and taking all necessary measures to prevent a wide wave of Covid-19 incidence in Ukraine.
