As for today, almost 7, 000 CCTV cameras, including 2, 000 smart cameras are installed in Kyiv. Andry Kryshchenko, the Head of the National Police in Kyiv claimed this as UNN reported.

Earlier Vitaly Klitschko, the Mayor of Kyiv claimed that the number of the installed CCTV cameras in Kyiv should increase up to 10,000 in 2018. According to Klitschko, the smart cameras that can identify the faces of people and license plate number of cars are installed in the capital. Such cameras are installed at the high-traffic areas, schools, kindergartens, health care facilities and some metro stations.
