Most of the confirmed cases have been observed in Dnipropetrovsk (761), Kharkiv (622), Lviv (490), Mykolaiv (461) regions and Kyiv city (447).
Kyiv (1,112), Kharkiv (1,386), Dnipropetrovsk (1,169), Odesa (1,097) and Kyiv (965) regions.
Since the beginning of the pandemic in Ukraine, 1,953,016 people have contracted the disease, 1,487,677 have overcome it, 40,000 - have succumbed to it.
Meanwhile, due to the increase in morbidity and mortality from the coronavirus, WHO assesses the situation with the pandemic as alarming. This was stated by the representative of the WHO in Russia Melita Vujnovic.
"We are now seeing a rise in the number of cases for seven consecutive weeks and an increase in the number of deaths in four weeks... These are alarming trends as we continue to see the impact of the emergence of variants of the virus, the lifting of restrictive measures and the unfair distribution of vaccine between countries," she said.
