6,038 new cases of coronavirus infection were registered in Ukraine in 24 hours as Health Minister Maksym Stepanov reported on Facebook.

Since the beginning of the pandemic: 2,097,024 people got infected; 1,711,709 (+14,351 in 24 hours) patients recovered; 45,451 lethal cases reported (+374 in 24 hours).

During the past 24 hours, the majority of the cases were registered in Kyiv (622), Donetsk (599), Kharkiv (544), Dnipropetrovsk (543) and Rivne (403) regions.

Kyiv – 622 cases; Vinnytsia region – 147; Volyn region – 161; Dnipropetrovsk region – 543 cases; Donetsk region – 599 cases; Zhytomyr region – 107 cases; Zakarpattia region – 72 cases; Zaporizhia region – 357 cases; Ivano-Frankivsk region – 51 cases; Kyiv region – 126 cases; Kyrovohrad region – 42 cases; Luhansk region – 237 cases; Lviv region – 166 cases; Mykolaiv region – 210 cases; Odesa region – 329 cases; Poltava region – 395 cases; Rivne region – 403 cases; Sumy region – 139 cases; Ternopil region – 101 cases; Kharkiv region – 544 cases; Kherson region – 125 cases; Khmelnytsk region – 166 cases; Cherkasy region – 297 cases; Chernivtsi region – 74 cases; Chernihiv region – 25 cases.

Earlier, Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the majority of Ukrainians should be vaccinated against coronavirus until Independence Day (August 24).
