600 settlements in 13 regions are cut off power due to the complication of weather conditions and triggering of the protection system of the transmission lines, as the State Emergency Service reported.

Thus, due to the strong wind and accretion of wet snow, the localities were left without power in such regions: Odesa region – 137 settlements, Dnipropetrovsk region – 120 settlements, Kherson region – 87 settlements, Mykolaiv region – 59 settlements, Kirovohrad region – 57 settlements, Donetsk region – 34 settlements, Poltava region – 27 settlements, Ivano-Frankivsk region – 26 settlements, Zaporizhia region – 19 settlements, Chernivtsi region – 19 settlements, Cherkasy region – 8 settlements, Vinnytsia region – 4 settlements, Zakarpattia region – 3 settlements.

The teams of regional energy departments conduct work on the restoration of the power supply.

As we reported, snowy weather was observed in most of Ukraine's regions on February 5. The temperature varied from +2 to -2 degrees Celsius.

A significant avalanche hazard was observed in the mountains of Zakarpattia and Ivano-Frankivsk regions on February 1-2.
