Over the last 24 hours, Ukrainian doctors confirmed 5,990 new cases of Covid-19, including 177 children and 236 healthcare workers. Coronavirus_Info Telegram channel reports it.

2,131 people have been taken to hospitals during this period; 116 patients deceased, and 8,777 recovered. 27,975 tests have been taken.

Most of the confirmed cases have been observed in Kyiv city (793), Kyiv (362), Zaporizhzhia (332), Odesa (330), Mykolaiv (328) regions.

1,160,682 people have got sick since the pandemic began in Ukraine, 865,960 recovered.

The first stage of vaccination against coronavirus may begin in Ukraine in mid-February 2021. 

“We (the Servant of the People faction, -ed.) invited Minister Stepanov to an online meeting to discuss the issue of vaccination in general and, in particular, regarding its stages. The Minister confirmed that the first stage of vaccination could begin approximately in mid-February this year. And at the first stage, according to the already adopted plan, they will vaccinate doctors who directly work with Covid patients, military personnel who are in the environmental protection zone, as well as social workers and patients of geriatric boarding houses," the deputy head of the Servant of the People faction Yevhen Kravchuk said.
