As of July 6, 5,602 cases of Covid-19 were observed in Kyiv. 59 people got infected over 24 hours, Kyiv mayor Vitaliy Klitschko said during the briefing.

"Among them are four medics. Two sick people deceased. In general, coronavirus claimed lives of 116 Kyiv residents", Klitschko said.

Seven patients were taken to a hospital. Most of the cases were detected in Darnytsia and Dniprovsky districts (nine each); in Podilsky, Shevchenkivsky and Holosiivsky, there were seven cases in each.

Ukrainian citizens who got stuck in Athens airport were not detained; border guards merely did not let them pass the checkpoint, due to the lockdown restrictions that are now active in Greece. Ukrinform news agency reported that with a reference to Serhiy Pogoreltsev, Director of Department of Consulate Service of Ukraine's Foreign Ministry.
