3,218 people have been taken to hospitals during this period; 89 patients deceased, and 1,702 recovered. 47,811 tests have been taken.
Most of the confirmed cases have been observed in Ivano-Frankivsk (734), Vinnytsia (558), Zhytomyr (528), Zakarpattia (423), and Chernivtsi (411) regions.
Since the beginning of the pandemic in Ukraine, 1,347,849 people have contracted the disease, 1,170,023 have overcome it, 25,982 - have succumbed to it.
Meanwhile, the EU states have come to an agreement on the necessity to introduce digital vaccination passports.
It is noted that the digital passports on vaccination that allow people to travel in Europe despite the Covid-19 pandemic will be available by summer.
“Everyone agreed that we need a digital vaccination certificate,” Merkel told a press conference on Thursday, adding the EU Commission would need around three months to create the technical basis for such documents.
