56 Ukrainians recovered from Covid-19 abroad, seven deceased, - Foreign Ministry

As of late April 23, 56 Ukrainians have recovered from coronavirus while staying abroad. Ukraine's Foreign Ministry reported that on Friday morning. 

The Ukrainian patients managed to overcome the symptoms in Austria, Belgium, the UK, Germany, Greece, Dominican Republic, Egypt, Spain, Italy, Nigeria, the Netherlands, the UAE, Poland, Portugal, Seychelles, Thailand, Sweden, Switzerland and Japan.

161 citizens are getting treatment in 15 countries worldwide. Most of them are now in hospitals of Italy.

Seven Ukrainians passed away.

Meanwhile, doctors are running out of free space in the infectious units of Oleksandrivsky hospital in Kyiv as Chief Doctor of the hospital Lyudmyla Antonenko reported.

“There are 88 patients in the infectious units, 76 of them have confirmed coronavirus infection, 80 patients have pneumonia; six stay in the intensive care unit; all of them are put on the oxygen support; no people put on the artificial lung ventilators. Two patients with Covid-19 died on the weekends as they had multisegmental pneumonia and chronic coexisting diseases,” she said.
