The asteroid is moving at the speed of 10.5 km per second. At this rate, it could go around the Earth in an hour, experts say.
According to NASA estimates, the object is supposed to be as close to our planet as the Moon (384,000 kilometers from Earth).
In this particular case, the Agency rules out any chance of collision with Earth, and it doesn't expect these calculations to change. However, this is close enough for the astronomists to define the asteroid as the NEO, the Near-Earth Object.
