An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.1 points took place in Romania's Vrancea county. Ukraine's State Emergency Service reported that with the reference to the Chief Centre of Special Control of the National Space Agency.

The earthquake was observed at 3.26 a.m. Kyiv time. The shakes spread on the territory of Ukraine's Odesa region; the State Emergency Service of Ukraine did not observe any consequences.

Earlier, a strong earthquake of 5.0 magnitude occurred in Greece, as the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC) reports.

The earthquake was recorded at 4:52 Kyiv time. The epicenter of tremors was located six kilometers from the village of Valsamata. The source lay at a depth of 5 kilometers. There was no information about possible victims and destruction.

Within the nearest twenty years, a global earthquake might stir up Zakarpattia region as this area is in a seismic zone. Oleksandr Kedzera, Deputy Director of Institute of Geophysics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, said so.
