As of the evening of May 4, 50 Ukrainians recovered from COVID-19 abroad, and 159 Ukrainian citizens were undergoing treatment. This was reported on the Facebook page of Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry.

"16,329 citizens of Ukraine have applied for help to foreign diplomatic missions within the Protection system," the Foreign Ministry stated.

In particular, 159 citizens of Ukraine are being treated in: Austria - three, Greece - 12, Italy - 121, Malta - one, Moldova - one, Poland - one, Russia - three, USA – two, Thailand - one, Uruguay - two, Germany – four, the Czech Republic – six, Sweden - two.

Another 50 citizens of Ukraine have already recovered. It is noted that eight citizens of Ukraine have died.

As we reported earlier, Ukraine’s Prime Minister Denys Shmygal stated that more rigid restrictive measures would be implied in the regions with a high incidence of coronavirus.

“On May 11, it will be necessary to hold a commission in the regions, hold the National Commission on technogenic and environmental security and emergency and adopt a decision depending on the situation on May 11 in three regions-leaders on the imposing of particular quarantine restrictions in the regions were epidemic situation is worse than in the country,” he stated.
