The arrest of the former police officer, who is suspected of killing five-year-old Kyrylo Tlyavov, has been extended. Prosecutor General Iryna Venediktova wrote about this on her Facebook page.
"Today, the pre-trial detention of a suspect, who is suspected of negligent homicide of a five-year-old boy, expired. Prosecutors fought for three days to keep the ex-policeman in custody. The detention was extended for another 60 days, until February 16, 2021," the statement said.
As we reported earlier, on May 31, 2019, a boy with physical injuries in the form of a severe closed-head injury, brain contusion, internal brain hematoma, and a fracture of the temporal bone was delivered to the intensive care unit of the Pereyaslav-Khmelnytsky hospital.
On June 3, Kyrylo died; the doctors could not save his life.
On December 23, 2019, the prosecutor's office of the Kyiv region sent a bill of indictment to the court in the case of the murder of 5-year-old Kyrylo Tlyavov in the city of Pereyaslav-Khmelnytskyi.
