Over the last 24 hours, Ukrainian doctors confirmed 4,928 new cases of Covid-19, including 166 children and 261 healthcare workers. Coronavirus_Info Telegram channel reports it.

1,862 people have been taken to hospitals during this period; 116 patients deceased, and 13,138 recovered. 40,144 tests have been taken.

Most of the confirmed cases have been observed in Kyiv city (793), Lviv (351), Dnipropetrovsk (342), Zaporizhzhia (339), Kharkiv(325) regions.

1,187,897 people have got sick since the pandemic began in Ukraine, 942,107 recovered.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health plans to calculate the actual number of re-infections with coronavirus. 

"There are already hundreds of such cases (cases of re-infection with Covid-19). Especially, people who fell ill at the beginning of the epidemic, their antibody titer starts to fade. It is usually that much harder for them to get through the disease for the second time. A lot of such cases tend to be fatal," Health Minister Maksym Stepanov said.

The minister also noted that it was theoretically impossible to get infected with coronavirus for the third time at that point.
