As of May 6, the overall number of Covid-19 patients in Ukraine made 13,184. On May 5, 487 new cases were observed, Healthcare Ministry reports.
327 lethal cases have been observed since the epidemic reached Ukraine. 2,097 patients recovered.
Chernivtsi region (1,985 cases), Kyiv (1,651), Ternopil region (935) and Ivano-Frankisk region (1,037) come first in terms of the morbidity rate.
Earlier, the Council of the European Union made the decision to provide Ukraine with 1.2 billion Euros for overcoming the economic and social consequences of coronavirus. Yevropeiska Pravda outlet reported that on May 5.
In general, the EU authority will redirect three billion Euros among ten neighboring countries and the states that enjoy the official prospects of EU membership.
The allocated funds are supposed to help in improving the macroeconomic stability and assign resources for citizens' protection. The costs will be available within the period of 12 months, supplied in two loans. The countries will have to repay the loan within a period of maximum of 15 years.
