There are 380 artificial lung ventilation units in Kyiv’s medical institutions today, 93 of them – in the hospitals designated as support facilities for the treatment of coronavirus infected persons. Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko stated this during an online briefing. The broadcast was provided by 112 Ukraine TV Channel.
Seven base hospitals have been prepared to receive coronavirus infected. A total of more than 400 beds have been deployed. In case of complication of the epidemic situation, the city is ready to roll out seven thousand extra beds.
"78 boxes are provided in the structure of infectious wards. Resuscitation beds of infectious wards are equipped with artificial ventilation apparatus. Today, there are 380 artificial ventilation units in metropolitan hospitals. 93 of them are in hospitals that are designated as support facilities," Klitschko said.
As we reported earlier, the second case of the infection with Covid-19 spotted in the Volyn region.
“As of 10:00, March 26, 2020, two cases of coronavirus infection spotted in Volyn. Both cases are confirmed by polymerase chain reaction method. Five people have suspicion for coronavirus,” the message said.
