The U.S. law enforcement bodies disclosed an international group of 36 hackers who obtained personal data of people and stole 530 million dollars from their accounts, the Department of Justice of the United States reported.

The group of hackers operated under a slogan “In Fraud we trust”. It was founded by Svyatoslav Bondarenko, a 34-year-old Ukrainian, in 2010. The perpetrators created an international cyber network engaged in the large-scale acquisition, sale, and dissemination of stolen identities, compromised debit and credit cards, personally identifiable information, financial and banking information, computer malware, and other contraband.

The criminals intended to steal over $2.2 billion during the course of a seven-year history of the organization.

“As alleged in the indictment, Infraud operated like a business to facilitate cyberfraud on a global scale.  Its members allegedly caused more than $530 million in actual losses to consumers, businesses, and financial institutions alike—and it is alleged that the losses they intended to cause amounted to more than $2.2 billion,” the Department of Justice reported.
