355 000 Ukrainians used the possibilities of the visa-free regime since it came into force as the press service of the State Border Guard Service reported.
‘Totally, the workers of the State Border Guard Service registered 355 000 citizens of Ukraine that used the advantages of the visa-free regime with the EU since it came into force. 128 000 of them used the air transport, 227 000 of them traveled by the cars and railway and only the minority of the people used the marine checkpoints’, the message said.
It is noted that the Ukrainians mostly traveled to Poland (90 000 people) and Romania (65 000 people). According to the first months of the visa-free regime, the rush among the tourists decreased. The total number of the trips of the Ukrainians increased by 10% during the summer.
The visa-free regime between the EU and Ukraine took effect on June 11, 2017; the European Parliament approved the respective decision on April 6. 52,000 Ukrainians crossed the EU border on the first day of the visa-free regime.
