35 law enforcers requested medical assistance in the result of the clashes police and the protesters in Chornorsk after the court hearing in May 2 tragedy in Odesa in 2014. Ruslan Forosztyak, the advisor to the Head of Police in Odesa region, reported that on his Facebook page.
“In the result, 20 policemen from the Chief Department of National Police and 15 officers of the National Guard of Ukraine requested medical assistance after yesterday clashes in Chornomorsk,” Forostyak writes.
He added that a criminal proceeding opened on the infliction of bodily injury to the law enforcer.
As we reported earlier, the clashes between activists from pro-Ukrainian organizations and law enforcers are happening in Chornomorsk, Odesa region after a court found twenty participants of tragic events in Odesa on May 2, 2014 not guilty of organizing a riot, in which 48 people were killed. Five of them, kept in detention were set free in the court room of the Chornomorsk, formerly Illichivsk, City Court in the city of Chornomorsk, Odesa region. However, the officers of the Security Service of Ukraine came into the court room when the acquittal was being announced and handed them a new notice of suspicion. The journalists were told to leave the court room, and that now the citizens of Russia Dolzhenkov and Mefedov are accused of violating the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine.
Yesterday, on September 18, the two dozens of activists are reported to shower law enforcers with materials at hand. Two fights between the parties occurred. The Law enforcers used tear gas and rubber hoses and surrounded a building of the court with a cordon, protecting it from the protesters.
Protesters are going to block a bus with the justified involvants of the criminal case after today’s court hearing in the case of May 2 in the Illichivsk City Court in the city of Chornomorsk, Odesa region. They are now building barricade and bringing tires to the court building.
