In January-March 2020, the number of the population working without official employment in Ukraine made 3.4 million people. The State Statistics Service reported that in its report.
Thus, during this period, 20.6 percent of the total amount of working population aged from 15 to 70 worked without the work record book. The number includes two million men and 1.35 million women.
According to the State Statistics Service, most often, these were residents of rural areas who worked without official employment - 1.8 million people.
The entire number of working population in this country makes 16.57 million citizens. Almost 15 percent of people are sef-employed, 1.3 are employers, and the rest work as a hired labor force.
In May 2020, the average salary in Ukraine grew by three percent in comparison to the sum in the previous year.
Previously, the State Statistics Service reported that half of the expenses of an ordinary Ukrainian citizen are spent on food and household utilities.
