In Kyiv, the number of people infected with Covid-19 increased up to 335 people, including 16 medical workers, as 112 Ukraine TV channel reported citing Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko.

According to the mayor, during the last 24 hours, 41 people infected, including 26 cases in Kyiv Pechersk Lavra.

“I will note, among the cases registered during the last day, 26 are in Kyiv Pechersk Lavra. It is hard to imagine the chain of the further transmission of the infection,” Klitschko said.

Besides, he stated that he expects the Easter with anxiety as the situation may escalate after the holidays.

“That is why I expect this year Easter with anxiety. Not to have the escalation of the situation after the holidays, not to have hundreds of new patients,” he underlined.

As we reported, some Kyiv doctors predict a peak incidence of coronavirus this weekend, April 11-12, while others are talking about April 14-15.

Meanwhile, in Ukraine, the number of people infected with COVID-19 has increased to 1892. 224 new cases were recorded in Ukraine per day. Overall, 57 people died, 45 patients recovered.
