3,195 new cases of Covid in Ukraine over 24 hours

Over the last 24 hours, Ukrainian doctors confirmed 3,195 new cases of Covid-19, including 151 children and 37 healthcare workers. Coronavirus_Info Telegram channel reports it.

1,752 people have been taken to hospitals during this period; 76 patients deceased and 1,942 recovered. 29,287 tests have been taken.

Since the beginning of the pandemic in Ukraine, 3,699,663 people have contracted the disease, 3,508,451 have overcome it, 97,164 have succumbed to it.

Meanwhile, Ukraine introduces a booster vaccination against Covid-19 for citizens over 18 years of age who have completed a full course of immunization as Minister of Health Viktor Lyashko reported on Facebook.

"Signed an order of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine on the introduction of a booster dose of vaccine against Covid-19 for all vaccinated from 18 years old, regardless of which vaccine they were vaccinated with," the Minister said.

According to him, the booster dose should enhance the effectiveness of the vaccine and give better protection against the new Omicron strain.
