3,043 Covid-19 cases registered in Kyiv

As of May 31, 3,043 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases observed in Kyiv. 58 people infected in 24 hours. 11 medics are among them as Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko reported.

During the past 24 hours, two people died in the capital. Totally, 68 lethal cases observed since the beginning of the pandemic.

Thus, 41 women at the age of 25 up to 93, 13 men at the age of 23 up to 61, a five-year-old girl, and three boys of seven, 15, and 17 years are infected.

Four patients were hospitalized, while others stay in self-isolation under the control of the doctors.

Six people recovered in 24 hours. Totally, 654 Kyiv citizens overcame coronavirus since the beginning of the pandemic.

“The majority of the cases were registered in Podilsky district – 23 cases. It took place due to the outbreak at the Ascension Convent (Florivsky church),” he said.

He specified that 22 persons infected at the church; eight nuns were hospitalized on the weekends, totally, 26 nuns are infected with a virus.

As of early June 1, Ukrainian medics observed 24,012 cases of coronavirus disease in the country. 340 new cases were observed on May 31.
