‘As of 1 p.m., ‘102’ received 294 claims about car accidents in Kyiv,’ reads the message.
Dmytro Davtian, Deputy Chairman of Kyiv City State Administration claimed during a briefing that 300 car accidents happened in the city, 70 percent of them occurred due to not changing summer tires. According to him, the accidents are also caused by little distance between cars.
The police patrols urged the drivers to follow traffic regulation rules strictly, and also to consider weather conditions and traffic conditions. They advised to refrain from long-distance rides and to limit the time spent on the street.
As we reported earlier, it started snowing in the morning on November 14. Traffic jams formed on the roads of the city because of this. Earlier, drivers were called to swap summer tires to winter tires and not to park along streets, since it will be snowy and slippery.
Because of the deterioration of weather and the first snow, special regimes for public transport were introduced. They will be driving without sticking to their timetable.
