During the past 24 hours, 30 new Covid-19 cases were observed in Kyiv as Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko reported.

“The number of citizens, who have confirmed infection with coronavirus, has increased by 30 people. One medic is among them. In 24 hours, two people died from coronavirus in Kyiv. Totally, 40 lethal cases were registered. As for today, there are 1,960 confirmed cases of Covid-19 infection,” Klitschko said.

Moreover, he noted that seven women at the age of 21 up to 82 and three girls of eight, nine and 14 years old are among infected. Besides, nine men at the age of 39 up to 81 and a 13-year-old boy are infected. Five patients were hospitalized. Others receive treatment in self-isolation under the observance of the doctors.

“31 people recovered in the past 24 hours. Totally, 169 Kyiv citizens recovered,” Klitschko reported.

On May 12, 402 new cases of infection with Covid-19 took place in Ukraine; now, the overall number is 16,425 cases. 39 people have deceased (+14 over 24 hours); another 3,716 recovered from the disease (+343 over the day).
