Over the last 24 hours, Ukraine has reported 2,656 new cases of coronavirus infection. This was announced by Health Minister Maksym Stepanov on his Facebook page.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 1,249,646 cases of Covid-19 have been recorded in the country: 1,084,608 people have recovered (+2,656 per day) and 23,771 people (+127 per day) have died from complications caused by the disease.
Over the last 24 hours, the largest numbers of confirmed cases were registered in the city of Kyiv (243), Ivano-Frankivsk (525), Zakarpattia (276), Chernivtsi (194), and Zaporizhia (164) oblasts.
As we reported earlier, Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba expects certain foreign countries to ease quarantine restrictions for travelers this summer.
"I can clearly assume that certain relaxation of restrictions in traveling will be imposed by other countries, and Ukrainians will be able to use them," he said.
According to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, the quarantine restrictions that were introduced in Ukraine back in January have cut the number of new cases of Covid-19 incidence per week by three times.
