29 new cases of Covid-19 were confirmed in the Ukrainian capital over 24 hours. Three medics are among them. One person died. As for today, there are 2,652 confirmed cases in the city, as 112 Ukraine TV channel reported, citing Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko.
“The number of Kyiv citizens confirmed with infection with coronavirus increased by 29 people during the past 24 hours. Three medics are among them. In 24 hours, one person died from the coronavirus. Totally, there are 60 lethal cases during the pandemic. As for today, there are 2,652 confirmed cases in the capital,” Klitschko stated.
Thus, 15 women at the age of 27 up to 72, two 11-year-old and 12-year-old girls, 11 men at the age of 37 up to 75 and a 10-year-old boy are now among the infected.
10 patients were hospitalized. Others stay in self-isolation under control of the doctors.
“Two persons recovered in 24 hours. Totally, 360 citizens of Kyiv recovered,” Klitschko noted.
As we reported, Kyiv was ready to proceed to the second stage of mitigation of restrictive measures. Ground-based public transport started operating in the city on Saturday, May 23, and on Monday, May 25, the subway resumed its work.
On May 24, 258 new cases of infection with Covid-19 were observed in Ukraine. The overall number of infected people currently makes 21,24. 623 cases proved lethal; another 7,234 people recovered.
