A 25-year-old woman died in Ivano-Frankivsk district isolation hospital on the night of February 3. Galka edition informs. 

“At first, she was taken to Nadvirnianska central district hospital from a village hospital. It is known that the woman caught severe virus infection, most likely influenza, on the January 15th and then she got measles.  First, she was treated in  Nadvirnianska central district hospital, and only on the February 1st she was taken to Ivano-Frankivsk hospital with a serious condition of the third degree,”, - says the edition.

District isolation hospital notified Galka about it.

Let us recall the following – according to the Ministry of Healthcare, almost 3 thousand Ukrainians got measles from the beginning of 2018.

The biggest number of sick persons was recorded in Ivano-Frankivsk, Odessa, Zakarpattia, Chernivtsi, and Lviv oblast over the past week. In 2018, there were no cases recorded only in Chernihiv oblast. Two cases of measles virus were recorded in Sumy oblast over the past week as well.

In fact, the measles vaccination level doubled over the 2017 compared to 2016.
