As a result of the recent fighting in the city of Rakka (Syria), 25 children were killed, another 40 thousand lives remain under threat. This was reported by the official representative of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) Christophe Boulierac, the Anadolu Agency reports.
"The heavy fighting in the Syrian city of Rakka endangers the lives of more than 40,000 children who are in extremely dangerous conditions. UNICEF received alarming reports that at least 25 children were killed and many were injured in recent fighting in Rakka", Said Boulierac.
In addition, according to him, about 80,000 children in Rakka were forced to leave their homes.
