24,494 people vaccinated against Covid-19 in Ukraine on May 5

24,494 people received the first dose of the vaccine against coronavirus in Ukraine on May 5, as Health Minister Maksym Stepanov reported on Facebook.

Since the beginning of the vaccination campaign, 738,812 patients received the first dose. Meanwhile, 419 people finished the immunization (received two doses).

Kyiv – 5,608; Vinnytsia region – 1,096; Volyn region – 196; Dnipropetrovsk region – 2,604; Donetsk region – 1,389; Zhytomyr region – 442; Zakarpattia region – 408; Zaporizhia region – 1,080; Ivano-Frankivsk region – 401; Kyiv region – 1,886; Kyrovohrad region – 442; Luhansk region – 493; Lviv region – 1,610; Mykolaiv region – 869; Odesa region – 1,038; Poltava region – 76; Rivne region – 551; Sumy region – 562; Ternopil region – 419; Kharkiv region – 431; Kherson region – 460; Khmelnytsk region – 978; Cherkasy region – 597; Chernivtsi region – 313; Chernihiv region – 545.

Earlier, Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the majority of Ukrainians should be vaccinated against coronavirus until Independence Day (August 24).

As we reported, 6,038 new cases of coronavirus infection were registered in Ukraine in 24 hours. During the past 24 hours, the majority of the cases were registered in Kyiv (622), Donetsk (599), Kharkiv (544), Dnipropetrovsk (543) and Rivne (403) regions.
