2,230 people received the first dose of the vaccine against coronavirus in Ukraine on May 16, as Health Minister Maksym Stepanov reported on Facebook.

Since the beginning of the vaccination campaign, 940,160 patients received the first dose. Meanwhile, 18,394 people finished the immunization (received two doses).

Kyiv – 58; Vinnytsia region – 111; Volyn region – 182; Dnipropetrovsk region – 15; Donetsk region – 17; Zhytomyr region – 118; Zakarpattia region – 41; Zaporizhia region – 10; Ivano-Frankivsk region – 104; Kyiv region – 17; Kyrovohrad region – 0; Luhansk region – 90; Lviv region – 37; Mykolaiv region – 15; Odesa region – 130; Poltava region – 42; Rivne region – 78; Sumy region – 190; Ternopil region – 110; Kharkiv region – 341; Kherson region – 106; Khmelnytsk region – 162; Cherkasy region – 56; Chernivtsi region – 116; Chernihiv region – 84.

The vaccination is held by 41 mobile brigades and 83 vaccination points. As of May 16, 2021, 558,857 people entered the waiting list for vaccination against Covid-19.

As we reported, Ukraine will receive 1.2 million doses of coronavirus vaccines by the end of this month. 700,000 doses of the CoviShield vaccine are planned will be delivered in May as part of the global COVAX initiative. According to preliminary data, the drug will arrive in the country on May 24-25.
