In Kyiv, 220 new cases of coronavirus infection were observed during the past 24 hours as Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko reported on Telegram.
“During the past 24 hours, 220 people were diagnosed with the coronavirus. Four people died. Totally, the coronavirus took lives of 178 Kyiv citizens,” the message said.
Thus, 109 women at the age of 18 up to 84; 101 men at the age of 18 up to 87; five girls at the age of a year up to 14 and five boys at the age of six up to 15 are infected.
Besides, 10 medics are infected.
63 patients were hospitalized; while others stay in self-isolation under observation of the medics.
As for today, there are 12,468 Covid-19 cases in the capital.
As of August 27, 112,059 cases of coronavirus infection were registered in Ukraine. Over the last 24 hours, 1,978 people have been diagnosed with the disease. A total of 2,403 people died as a result of complications caused by the disease (+49 per day, which is the highest number of deaths that has been observed since the beginning of the pandemic), 53,454 patients have already managed to recover - a repeated laboratory study did not detect the virus.
Besides, a record daily increase in the number of deaths from the coronavirus infection was reported in Ukraine - 49 people.
