Ukraine currently has 200 vials of anti-diphtheria serum, which they use if a person gets sick. Zoryana Skaletska, Ukraine's Healthcare Minister said so during the question hour for the government.
"As for diphtheria, I'd love to explain the situation with the serum that disturbs many. As of today, 200 vials have been brought to Ukraine; eight were brought across the regions. But this is not vaccination, it's the substance they inject only in the confirmed cases, when diphtheria is confirmed by the lab tests. We've got 100 of them supplied already, and there are agreements on another 10", she said.
The official claimed that based on the current number of detected cases all over the country, this amount of the serum would be enough to take the disease under control in Ukraine.
