On the Ukrainian-Russian border, two Russian citizen asked for refugee status. It is reported by the press service of State Border Service of Ukraine.

"This morning, at the Goptivka international automobile checkpoint, in Kharkiv region during the passage of the border control with a request for refugee status to the border guards of Kharkiv detachment turned 47-year-old citizen of Russia and her 20-year-old daughter, also a citizen of Russia, who came from the neighboring country on foot with a small child, " said in the report.

During the conversation, the woman said that, in connection with the Ukrainian origin and Ukrainian citizenship of her granddaughter, in Russia they could not find a job and did not receive proper medical care. Tired of the constant harassment by ethnicity, they were forced to ask for refugee status because they feared for their lives and the life of the child.
