19 cases of coronavirus infection spotted at the Armed Forces of Ukraine. One person recovered, while another person died as 112 Ukraine TV channel reported citing Head of Media Relations Service of the Medical Forces Oleksiy Mazepa reported.
“As for today’s morning, 19 cases of infection registered, one person recovered and one case, unfortunately, is lethal; it took place on April 6. As for today, we have one more infected, employer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine who was hospitalized to Lviv regional infectious hospital with diagnosis community-onset double pneumonia on April 8,” he said.
Currently, the state of the hospitalized serviceman is critical but stable; he is put on an artificial lung ventilator. The coronavirus disease was officially confirmed by the polymerase chain reaction test.
According to Mazepa, the wet cleaning with special solutions, mostly chlorine solution, is held at the army’s units.
“Concerning the beds, bedside-tables, door-handles – the spirits or special solutions supplied to the army, are used for their cleaning. Currently, no violators of the quarantine regime are spotted at the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” he concluded.
As of April 13, 3,102 cases of Covid-19 spotted in Ukraine. 93 people died, while 97 recovered. 325 cases were confirmed during the past 24 hours.
A record number of coronavirus cases have been detected over the past 24 hours in Kyiv - 79 cases. 63 new cases had been observed in Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra. In total, there are already over 90 confirmed cases of coronavirus disease.
Later it was reported that Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra is quarantined due to an outbreak of COVID-19.
