On September 24, 2021, 159,004 people were vaccinated against Covid-19 in Ukraine, the press service of the Ministry of Healthcare reports on Facebook.

"As many as 159,004 people were vaccinated against Covid-19 in the past 24 hours, on September 24, 2021. Some 96,885 people received their first dose, and 62,119 people were fully vaccinated," the report reads.

According to the ministry, 966 mobile vaccination teams, 2,977 vaccination sites, and 345 vaccination centers were operating across the country in the past day.

A total of 12,138,989 doses have been administered in Ukraine since it launched the Covid-19 vaccination campaign, with 6,720,913 people receiving their first dose and 5,418,078 people receiving both doses (two people received their first dose abroad).

Meanwhile, over the last 24 hours, Ukrainian doctors confirmed 8,267 new cases of Covid-19, including 275 children and 22 healthcare workers.

2,035 people have been taken to hospitals during this period; 133 patients deceased and 2,821 recovered. 79,079 tests have been taken.

Most of the confirmed cases have been observed in Kharkiv (929), Dnipropetrovsk (751), Lviv (677), Zaporizhia (556) and Donetsk (503) regions.
