Ukraine is getting prepared for the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic

During the past 24 hours, on August 4, 150 new cases of coronavirus infection were observed in Kyiv. One person died as Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko reported.

“Another 150 citizens of the capital were diagnosed with coronavirus during the past 24 hours. One person died. Totally, the coronavirus claimed lives of 139 Kyiv citizens,” he wrote.

Thus, 81 women at the age of 18 up to 95; 61 men at the age of 20 up to 79; five girls at the age of five up to 17 and three boys at the age of four up to 15 are infected. Moreover, six medics were infected.

25 patients were hospitalized; while others stay in self-isolation under control of the doctors.

In a day, 44 people recovered from the Covid-19. Totally, 3,088 Kyiv citizens overcame the disease. 8,823 confirmed cases of coronavirus infection registered in the capital.

As of August 5, the overall number of coronavirus-infected people in Ukraine reached almost 75,500. During the past 24 hours, medics confirmed 1,271 cases of Covid-19 in this country. Over the last 24 hours, 24 people passed away due to the complications caused by the virus (1,788 since the beginning of the pandemic). 41,527 patients managed to recover from Covid-19 (+914 per 24 hours). Another 129,372 are suspected to carry the infection.
