On Friday, March 13, smugglers, who were trying to take 1.5 tons of medical masks across the border, were detained in Boryspil. Ukraine’s Minister of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov, told this during an extraordinary meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers. The broadcast was provided by 112 Ukraine TV Channel.
"In the morning, a load was arrested in Boryspil, one and a half tonnes of medical masks, which were being prepared for sending to the Arab Emirates and Rome. This is one cargo, two cases. Contrary to the government's decision to ban it. Now the masks have been seized, criminal proceedings are ongoing,” Avakov reported.
As we reported earlier, Ukraine will soon evacuate more of its citizens who currently stay in China. Dmytro Kuleba, Minister of Foreign Affairs claimed that on Thursday, March 12.
According to him, 41 Ukrainians are now staying in Wuhan; ten of them said they wanted to go home.
