13,531 new cases of coronavirus were confirmed in Ukraine during the past 24 hours. Particularly, 1,346 children and 240 medics got infected as the Health Ministry of Ukraine reported.

Thus, since the beginning of the pandemic, 3,463,872 cases of Covid-19 were registered in Ukraine. 2,995,727 (+23,535 in 24 hours) people recovered and were discharged; while 87,057 (+525) patients died from the complications caused by the infection. Besides, 3,003 people were hospitalized.

During the past 24 hours, the majority of the cases were registered in Kyiv (1,418), Donetsk (803), Zhytomyr (743), Lviv (729), and Zaporizhia (709) regions.

As of the end of November, Ukraine has begun to pass the peak for the current wave of coronavirus.

As it was reported, the head of the Center for Health Economics of the Kyiv School of Economics Yuri Hanychenko announced that new Covid-19 cases are expected to rise in January 2022 unless a lockdown is introduced, which this year helped delay the coronavirus wave until mid-February.
