Most of the confirmed cases have been observed in Kyiv city (198), Kharkiv (138), Dnipropetrovsk (117), Donetsk (98) and Odesa (81) regions.

Since the beginning of the pandemic in Ukraine, 2,265,217 people have contracted the disease, 2,196,589 have overcome it, 53,238 have succumbed to it.

Meanwhile, the third shot of anti-Covid vaccine will be necessary in the future so as to boost protection against the infection on the global level. However, most of the healthy and vaccinated people don't neet it yet. Anthony Fauci, the leading American expert in infectious diseases said so as quoted by the New York Times.

Speaking at a press briefing of the work group to combat Covid-19, Fauci said that most of the vaccines provide at least eight months of due protection. He claimed that the US healthcare organizations have been looking into both domestic and international studies on re-vaccination; these measures will be implemented urgently if necessary, he said.
