3,967 people have been taken to hospitals during this period; 243 patients deceased, and 4,897 recovered. 99,270 tests have been taken.
Most of the confirmed cases have been observed in Kyiv city(1049), Zhytomyr (971), Vinnytsia (933), Kyiv (913), Lviv (879) and Kharkiv (837) regions.
Since the beginning of the pandemic in Ukraine, 1,451,744 people have contracted the disease, 1,219,773 have overcome it, 28,158 - have succumbed to it.
Meanwhile, the World Health Organization (WHO) sees no reason to stop using AstraZeneca’s Covid-19 vaccine after several countries suspended the rollout over blood clot fears. This is reported by DW with reference to WHO representative Margaret Harris.
Margaret Harris told a briefing on Friday it was an “excellent vaccine” and that no causal relationship had been established between it and the health problems reported.
“It’s very important to understand that, yes, we should continue to be using the AstraZeneca vaccine,” she said.
