1,300 National Guards maintain public order during rallies in Kyiv

About 1,300 fighters of the National Guard of Ukraine have been maintaining public order and safety in Kyiv on November 21; on Thursday evening, thousands of people came to the city centre to mark the anniversary of the Revolution of Dignity in Ukraine

According to the National Guard's press office, the patrol teams also consist of National Police, K-9 teams, pyrotechnicians and State Emergency Service workers.

National Guards are also involved in securing public order in other regions of Ukraine. The mass events are planned so that they would take place in various cities from November 21 till November 23.

On November 21, members of NGOs, volunteers, activists and common citizens of Ukraine gathered next to the building of the Office of the President. They are gathering for a memorial rally timed to the anniversary of the Revolution of Dignity in Ukraine. 

According to 112 Ukraine TV channel, these people came there to remind the President that the cases of Euromaidan and the Revolution of Dignity are still not solved. "They started their procession from Maidan Nezalezhnosti Square and walked along the Heavenly Hundred Alley, brought flowers and lit the candles paying tribute to all those who perished during the Revolution of Dignity", the journalist said.
