Thirteen schools are closed in Kherson, southern Ukraine. The reason is the absence of heating, as the press office of the city hall reported.
'The education process is suspended due to the absence of heating in schools of Kherson from November 14 through November 17. The students of 13 schools go for a constrained vacation', the message says.
The local nurseries will keep on working, as the heating will be provided with the use of electricity.
As of November 13, Kherson thermal power plant still has not provided the education facilities with the heating.
Several Ukrainian cities faced similar issues with the heating, including Kryvyi Rih, Shepetivka and Smila. In Kryvyi Rih and Smila, law enforcers opened criminal cases.
According to the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers, the next gas price hike might happen in May 2019. The document stipulates that the prices will be increased in three stages. The decree contains a calculation formula and a coefficient that will be increasing.
Between November 1, 2018 and May 1, 2019, the price of gas for the population will be $220 per a thousand cubic meters, without taxes. Ekonomichna Pravda outlet calculated the cost of transportation and the supplements of gas distribution companies.
It is reported that the gas price for the population will be $300 per one thousand cubic meters, including taxes, the cost of transportation and the supplements of gas distribution companies.
According to preliminary calculations, from May 1, 2019 to December 31, 2019, the gas price for the population will make $350 per one thousand cubic meters.
